Day 7

Another cool day in Canberra today but at least there was no rain.  The breeze was rather bracing at times!!!  Max, Baz, Judy, Phil and Lyndall went off to Cockington Green.  There were lots of amazing miniatures to see.  Max was particularly interested in the small details as we went around.  Baz was beside himself with joy that there were trains AND buttons that you could press!!!

After going to Cockington Green and a little play at Judy and Phil's we went over to see a friend of Lyndall's called Liz.  Liz has two VERY cute puppies called Pebbles and Lily.  It was so exciting to meet them.  Pebbles LOVED Bazzy and Max.  Lily was a little shier but we all had fun when we went for a walk!  We got to run around, sniff (mostly the dogs), run around some more, visit the ducks, sniff (again - mostly the dogs) and walk across a bridge.  It was a fantastic afternoon!!!

Lily at the back, Pebbles in front.

After such a big day we went home for dinner, picking up Turkish on the way as Bazzy had ordered chicken sticks for dinner.  So chicken sticks we got!

Then we got ready for bed.  Bazzy was in the bath when mum FaceTimed us on the iPad but he got out really quickly to talk to mum.  Gary was in the shower so we couldn't talk to him which was sad for Baz - maybe tomorrow!

What will tomorrow bring?

Day 6

It was a freezing cold day in Canberra but we braved the conditions and went to Lyndall's school to have a ride in the Learn to Ride Centre with Bazzy's teacher Bianca and her two boys, Darcy and Archie.  It was cold but so much fun.

Max also taught Darcy to ride on his rip-stick closely supervised by Bazzy!

We had a pause for morning tea in Lyndall's office.  Yum!

Then it was back out for a last ride.  Look at this cute bike rider!!!

We then went to Lyndall's house for lunch which was a yummy meat pie.  As always this was an immersive experience for Baz!

Once Lyndall  finished her jobs we went home, had dinner, then a bath, then we had another chat with Uncle Gary and mum on the iPad then it was time for bed.  Bazzy had all his friends in bed today!

Day 5

Well today was much quieter than we had planned. Bazzy's tummy was not 100% so we thought it was best to stay close to home.

First up in the morning we watched the Brazil v Germany game and Max was very pleased with the result, 7 to 1 to Germany!

We made some epic lego today. It was the turn of the mobile police truck.

Still learning about hold it under your chin!

Max starting the complicated building process.  This one was a big job. What a good brother!

Just in case you want to try you can even hold the box behind your back.

Finally, the completed vehicle!

Bazzy was so happy with the final product.

It was such a good day to stay at home as it was freezing cold and rainy in Canberra today. As well as building lego we watched a movie and ate some popcorn, but the highlight of the day was talking to mum and Uncle Gary on the iPad. It was great to hear about what mum and Uncle Gary had been doing.  We miss mum but we are glad she is having a great time!

Max was happy tonight at dinner as we had leftover macaroni cheese. Baz was happy tonight at dinner as it was chicken drumstick night!  He got to show mum that he had TWO drumsticks. Then it was into the bath and off to bed.

Day 4

Max and Baz got up a little early this morning and went back to bed until it was Lyndall's wake up time!  We had to do some jobs at school this morning so it was off to Lyndall's work.  Thankfully there are some fun things to do like the Learn to Ride Centre...

and some toys in the office!

We then headed into 220 Northbourne (Central Office), for lunch with Katrina.  James, Lucy and Carlin came too!  Max was serious,

and Bazzy enjoyed his Soy baby chino.

Lucy and Carlin.

James and Lucy.

Bazzy ate most of a chicken schnitzel burger AND chips!

Carlin and Max talked about PS3's for a while. Maybe we will buy one for Max soon!

We then went up to Katrina's desk.  She has some toys too!

After lunch we went to a big lego toy store in Fyshwick. Baz was very taken with the lego person and with a remote controlled tank! Poppa would love that!

We went to Judy and Phil's to show them our purchases.  Baz is still working on holding things under the chin!

There was GREAT excitement with the playmobil police motorbike!

He also chose some lego from the Lego Movie - Everything is Awesome!

So beloved was the police motorbike it was carefully held all the way home.

And finally we see it ...

 blue flashing light and all!

There was almost too much excitement to go to bed but eventually we did.
